Bought this system and I get significant audio dropouts in the audio I record. Bad enough I am just going to throw the entire system in the trash.

This workflow is so odd. Why not simply change your project settings to Viewer Gamma: 1.96 (Quicktime) and make sure that you have "Display Color Management" selected in your Preferences?

@3:07 A shotgun mic on a camera is definitely more for running and gunning - but you can also set up a shotgun on a boom with a C-stand for sit down interviews or have a boom operator. So you can still get more polished sound that way.

We just took our daughter back for her birthday the last time we did they had just started building the GOTG breakout ride .. galaxy edge wasn’t even started we just had star tours and over at California Adventure we had one cast member dress as spider man wearing a harness hanging from a wall from a corner building . Jumping many years to now or April of 2024 when we where there I had a choice to make between having that “ park experience “ did I want a marvel or Star Wars one so I made my choice on the last day of our four day trip two both parks going back and forth between them. Finally decided on the lightsaber…experience. But for awhile the idea of building a droid was up there But which one because that is probably the only thing marvel had far as “ park experience goes “ if you can even call it that with that spider bot but that’s just something you buy at a shop sure you can pick different characters and attach add-ons to the spider bot but it didn’t really have that customization feel that both experience over at galaxy edge had. So back and forth between building a droid or lightsaber both offer customization options but ultimately deciding on building a lightsaber but at the same time found out you could only pick from one tray and not a piece from this one and two from this tray when building the lightsaber . But still I felt like I built a unique custom lightsaber, I went with the Elemental Nature with a green kyber crystal … afterwards I went and got a yellow one from Savi’s Would have loved a orange one but yellow turn out just as cool If anyone is wondering how the lightsaber is broken down ( like I had mentioned above your ask to pick one of the four drawer ) from that drawer you will pick a sleeve (you’ll have 4 available to choose from and you pick 2) emitter (you’ll have 2 to choose from and you pick 1) pommel cap (you have 2 to choose from and you pick 1) activation plate and switch (2 sets to choose from and you pick 1 ) So is it worth the price .. absolutely is there limitations to what you can do with your lightsabers during building and afterwards..yes Was the overall experience worth it ….. freaking hell yea it was.. but it wasn’t until we left the park and got to our hotel room is where I finally geeked out over having a lightsaber Would I build another yes

Long story short, no, not worth it. Disney is selling a very overpriced very toy looking saber with old tech and not even neopixel blade. You can get a lot more bang for your buck in any Chinese website. “You’re getting a show too” sure that makes it worth 250 dollars…. And no, you’re not, you paid for the “show” with your park entrance which is also not cheap.

I will never buy DJI drones anymore! I will have custom-made drones built for now on. DJI drones have too many restrictions on them and I rather take my money and chances on custom drones... Fuck DJI and Fuck the FAA.

The lightsaber itself is probably not something I would buy off the shelf at that price, but the entire package with the show and the process of building it was absolutely worth it, unless you're just not into Star Wars. My wife bought me a trip to Savi's for my birthday last year and we both enjoyed it so much that we went back and got one for her birthday this year.

Still rocking my S5 in a cine rig setup as well. As I pull focus manually with Cine and Anamorphic lenses, I can easily resist the PDAF autofocus of the S5 II/IIX. Also while supposedly the same sensor, I've seen a lot of examples that low light and noise patterns have suffered with the new cameras. Also the sensor readout seems to be faster as rolling shutter is better on the OG S5, reducing the excitement of 6K open gate for me. Waiting for the the next L-mount camera that goes further than the S5 II/IIX. Camera to cloud? Have that already with Atomos Connect.

We’ve run the Inspire II since 2017. While parts of your video were great, other parts were a bit dramatic. - one battery going down in flight will not result in the drive dropping out of the shy. - The I2 will not suddenly stop flying in a given area because of magnetic interference/metal. - The OS for the I2 is just fine. We have never had an issue navigating or with its functionality. INDEED- Light bridge is very old, frustrating tech in terms of connectivity. BATTERY LIFE does become an issue but I’ve had the same 4 batteries for the last 7 years. 😬 SSD- yes. Expensive but I recently purchased one easily. Not hard to find. CRYSTAL SKY- works fantastic. Wasn’t hard to buy/find. IPHONE- works great. (iphone15). Inspire 2 still steals the show on any set we show up on. Comparing image quality and lateral flexibility of the image the Inspire 2 with any of the Mavic/phantom line is not realistic. What can be done with the Inspire 2 image annihilates those other drone images. That being said, yes, the Mavic image very very much is “good enough”. It depends on what your studio’s clients and managing expectations. We’re purchasing an Inspire 3 because of many of the reasons that you did hit spot on.
